Bio:
In her own words, "My paintings are narrative and the stories are inspired by summers exploring the beaches of my childhood in Washington State and later my adopted home in the Idaho Rocky Mountains. I live in a log cabin in the shadow of a mountain. Light, wind, snow and rain are closer to me when I'm home in the Rockies. When I'm not in my studio I'm outside in my garden. I hike in the summer and ski in the winter. The stories I tell in paint and words bring my animals and landscapes to adults and children and in doing so I hope to inspire others to examine with new curiosity all that surrounds us in the natural world".
Debbie has a Master of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Tufts University, Boston, MA. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington.
